Initial installation like the other six installations I’ve had through Empire was uneventful and generally positive. Experienced my first problem a year and a half later with severe buckling of the carpet. Upon calling was told that re-stretching was considered “normal maintenance“ and they would charge me $160. I’ve never had carpet installed that needed to be re-stretched at all much less in 18 months. Will never use Empire again. Terrible customer experience and did not stand behind their work.
